It’s been a strange summer for Samu Omorodion and after his links with Nottingham Forest, he’s now facing uncertainty over his future.
The talented 20-year-old was linked with a move to the City Ground before bigger clubs emerged on the scene for his signature.
For weeks, it’s looked like a move to a big Premier League club was on the cards – but now it looks as though that won’t be the case.
Atletico Madrid have signed Julian Alvarez from Manchester City and that will shunt Omorodion down the pecking order at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Now, some information has come to light about the youngster and it might be a bonus for Forest as the club hunts a striker.

Nottingham Forest-linked Omorodion won’t be joining Chelsea
It was announced last night by the Daily Mail that Omorodion won’t be joining Chelsea after a deal to sign him fell through.
There were issues with the contract on offer for the young talisman and as things stand he will be staying at Atletico Madrid – for now!
This afternoon it’s come to light that news of the Chelsea collapse has alerted other clubs towards his services.
According to Ryan Taylor of The Mirror, an unnamed Premier League club has now expressed an interest in signing Omorodion this summer.
It’s clear that Atletico will let him leave this summer and a number of top-flight clubs are in the market for a striker.
Last season, Omorodion caught the eye on loan at Alaves, scoring nine goals in 36 appearances in all competitions.
Forest will perhaps look for better than Omorodion
Since the links to the Spaniard, Forest have been linked with bigger and better than the 20-year-old.
Barcelona talent Vitor Roque has been linked with a move to Forest and Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord is also on the radar.
Although Chelsea were considering taking Omorodion, it would perhaps be just too much of a risk for Forest to go for the youngster.
A more established player such as Gimenez or someone dubbed as a wonderkid like Roque would perhaps make more sense.
Either way, it feels as though clubs are now once again jostling for Omorodion and it will be fascinating to see who the unnamed club is.
