Nottingham Forest are aiming to complete their squad ahead of the transfer window slamming shut next Friday – with a striker now top of the list.
Matty Cash reacted last night as Forest completed the signing of Alex Moreno from Aston Villa on a season-long loan.
The Reds will now quickly switch their focus towards completing their business at the top end of the pitch, with a striker the order of the day.
Both Eddie Nketiah and Santiago Gimenez have been linked with a move to the City Ground – and it looks as though one of those deals is now getting very close.

Nottingham Forest agree personal terms with new striker
According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest are edging closer to signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.
The Reds last night agreed on personal terms with the 25-year-old – although at this stage it’s not clear what exactly they are.
He does say, however, that Forest are keen to get the deal done pretty soon and they’re confident that will happen.
Nketiah has been allowed to leave Arsenal after several years of service with the Gunners where he has risen through the youth ranks.
The striker has worked tirelessly to make a go of things in North London but he’s never really been able to establish as the club’s number one talisman.
Nketiah has scored 38 goals and registered seven assists during his time with Arsenal and helped the team have a tilt at the title last season.
Roy Keane is a huge fan of Nketiah and called him ‘absolutely fantastic’ back in January 2023 after Arsenal defeated Manchester United.
Nketiah has huge chance to shine at Forest
The Reds finally look to have got their man and Nketiah will definitely arrive at Forest with something of a point to prove.
It will hurt him to a certain degree that he never really got a proper chance to take the striker spot and keep it at the Emirates Stadium.
Now, Nketiah will have a chance to really stamp his authority in the game at Forest where he should quickly become the top striker.
Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi will certainly provide competition for his place but Forest wouldn’t have parted with the level of cash being spoken about for Nketiah if he wasn’t going to play.
This deal looks to be drawing to a close and it’s now vital that the club’s loyal supporters get behind Nketiah as he bids to become a Forest hit.
