Nottingham Forest fans have been left furious after their team conceded an equaliser just moments after taking the lead against Wolves.
Nottingham Forest have had a bright start to the new Premier League season having defeated Southampton and holding Bournemouth to a draw.
With a favourable run of opening games, it’s crucial Nuno Espirito Santo’s side get as many points on the board as possible ahead of tougher games to come.
Things started positively in the home match against Wolves on Saturday, with in-form striker Chris Wood nodding in the opener from Elliot Anderson’s corner.
The lead would not last for long, though, as just two minutes later Jean-Ricner Bellegarde blasted in an absolute screamer from 25 yards.
However, the ball only fell to the Wolves man due to a mistake by Forest’s Ibrahim Sangare, which has seen him come in for criticism from supporters on social media.

Forest fans fume after Ibrahim Sangare mistake
Though Bellegarde’s strike was a scorcher that might claim the Goal of the Month award, Wolves were gifted the chance on a silver plate by Sangare.
There was little danger for the Reds as they defended a throw-in far out from goal but as the ball fell over Sangare’s head, the midfielder made a poor clearance into a dangerous area that was easily intercepted by Mario Lemina, who teed up the finish.
Understandably, fans have been enraged and baffled by Sangare’s poor play.
One fan wrote on X: “Sangare is about as mobile and quick as a car with no wheels. No idea what people have been seeing,” while another echoed those thoughts by writing: “Please sub Sangare off, I don’t think I’ll ever be convinced by him.”
Another supporter begged the 26-year-old: “Sangare …. Just do the simple thing. Like connecting with the ball first,” while another gave a brutal verdict: “Sangare having a right stinker here.”
One fan wasn’t surprised by the mistake: “Sangare with a poor clearance you say? I am shocked,” and another added: “I’m sorry, but you’re never gonna convince me about Sangare.”
James Ward-Prowse should go straight into the Forest team
Thankfully, Forest should soon have a quality replacement for Sangare in the midfield in the form of James Ward-Prowse.
The Reds brought in West Ham Ward-Prowse midfielder on deadline day on loan for the season and it’s clearly a signing that was desperately needed.
Ward-Prowse will bring much more composure and class on the ball to the middle of the park and likely wouldn’t have made such a panicked mistake in the same situation Sangare was in.
The England international wasn’t signed in time to be involved against Wolves but should be able to make his debut against Liverpool after the international break.
