Nottingham Forest played Wolves in the Premier League yesterday with both teams playing their part in a 1-1 draw.
Chris Wood continued his fine start to the 2024/25 campaign with another goal but Jean-Richer Bellegarde equalised shortly after with a fine effort.
Forest huffed and puffed in the second half but couldn’t break down a resilient Wolves outfit who stood firm and shipping six last weekend.
The Reds did have the ball in the net with just 10 minutes remaining, but Wood saw a second goal ruled out through offside.
During the contest, Forest felt they might have been awarded a penalty when Jorgen Strand Larsen appeared to handle in the box during the first half.

Paul Merson shares whether Nottingham Forest should have had penalty vs Wolves
The Reds could have gone back into the lead had the penalty been awarded just prior to the half-time interval.
Merson was doing his usual spot on Soccer Saturday and he thinks the Reds can count themselves very unlucky.
He said on Sky Sports: “I thought there was a penalty in the game for Forest. In my opinion, I thought it was a penalty. I thought he knew what he was doing.”
The Reds would have likely taken the lead with regular penalty taker Morgan Gibbs-White on the pitch when that one should have been awarded.
Simon Hooper was the on-field referee and it’s fair to say that he didn’t have his best game, turning the contest into a stop-start affair with a fussy approach to the control of the game.
Forest can’t bemoan match officials after yesterday
To be brutally honest, the Reds were perhaps fortunate not to give away a spot-kick of their own during yesterday’s game.
That one came very late in the piece and it did look as though a handball against a Forest player was being checked at one point.
Forest can take positives from yesterday’s result against Wolves and with three games of the season gone, things do look fairly positive.
The Reds must retain their focus and take stock of things during a two-week break with international football set to take focus.
Forest have five points on the board and although there’s a sense that more might have been required, the Reds will feel they can take points off better teams this year.
The Reds have Liverpool and Brighton away and Fulham at home during the next mini run of fixtures and hopefully, more points can be forthcoming during those games.
