Morgan Gibbs-White became the first Nottingham Forest player since 1997 to feature for England on Saturday.
It was a day to remember for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White as he made his senior England debut in Saturday’s Nations League win against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday.
Gibbs-White was introduced in the second half of the 2-0 win that kick-started the Three Lions’ Nations League campaign.
It capped off a perfect day for the Three Lions as Lee Carsley’s side began their new era with an important three points.

Although only brief, Gibbs-White’s debut was a special moment for himself and Forest.
The 24-year-old became the first player currently at Forest to play for England since 1997 and impressed in his 20-minute stint in Dublin.
Following on from his debut, several of Gibbs-White’s club teammates were full of praise.
Replying to his Instagram post, in which Gibbs-White said: “Dreams come true”, Callum Hudson-Odoi said: “Congrats my brother.”
Neco Williams added: “Congrats lad,” while Anthony Elanga said: “Yeahhhhhhhhh mannnnn !!!”
Danilo reacted with two love heart emojis and Ola Aina wrote: “That’s my guy”.
Several other stars including Elliot Anderson and Jota Silva also joined in with the congratulations.
Could Morgan Gibbs-White start for England vs Finland?
After making his debut for England, the next hope for Gibbs-White is that he will start from the off against Finland at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night.
Jack Grealish started in the number 10 role at the Aviva Stadium but Carsley may be inclined to make changes to look over the rest of the squad.
Furthermore, Carsley is a well-known fan of Gibbs-White and that may play into the 24-year-old’s favour come Tuesday night.
