It’s the time of the week again when the Nottingham Forest media team have dropped the matchday pass video on YouTube.
As with any positive Premier League result, the hours after are usually filled with repeats of the highlights and the magic Forest moments.
It’s always nice to understand a behind-the-scenes warts and all perspective though and Forest played their part in an entertaining draw with Brighton.
Chris Wood and Ramon Sosa scored the Forest goals – with the latter scoring his first goal in English football.
Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off late in the piece and Forest will have to do without him when Fulham visit the City Ground this weekend.
For Wood, it was the third goal that he’s scored this season and his first in a Forest shirt from the penalty spot.

What James Ward-Prowse did while VAR checked penalty for Forest vs Brighton
Ward-Prowse checked in for Forest during the summer transfer window, with the Reds beating the deadline to land the midfielder on loan.
It was only 12 months ago that Ward-Prowse was moving from Southampton – where made 382 Premier League appearances – to West Ham for £30 million.
During his time playing for Southampton, he was typically the club’s penalty taker and when Forest were awarded one on Sunday, it looked as though he would step up.
The matchday pass video on YouTube shows Ward-Prowse standing with the ball under his arm waiting by the penalty spot as referee Rob Jones waits for VAR confirmation.
When the referee confirms that a penalty has been given, the new recruit tosses the ball to Wood who steps up to duly convert.
Ward-Prowse experience will be vital for Forest this season
The signing of the 29-year-old will almost certainly prove to be a strong one for Forest and it looks like a coup.
With lots of the Forest dressing room relatively young, Ward-Prowse – along with the club’s other loan signing, Alex Moreno – should provide some much-needed experience.
Ward-Prowse is a danger from set-pieces and the challenge for Forest now is to start winning more of those and letting the midfielder take aim.
It was perhaps a ploy to try and bamboozle the Brighton goalkeeper on Sunday but it also highlights how much quality Forest have when it comes to potential penalty takers now.
