Last month will live long in the memory of Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White as he received his first call-up for the England squad.
After helping the under-17s win the World Cup in 2017 and the under-21s with the Euros in 2023, Gibbs-White was finally handed a senior chance.
Forest have helped Gibbs-White take his game to the next level after he signed for the club from Wolves in 2022 for an initial fee of around £25 million.
Gibbs-White was immediately handed the number 10 shirt at Forest and he’s really helped Forest establish as a Premier League club in the last two seasons.
An England call-up was richly deserved for Gibbs-White and he will hope to get the nod to link up with the squad next week for games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland.

What Morgan Gibbs-White did when he received England call-up
At 24-years-old, Gibbs-White got to sample senior international football for the first time and made it on the pitch against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.
He looked the part and almost teed up Bukayo Saka with a wonderful trademark pass with the outside of the boot.
Gibbs-White is a quality player and although he deserved the call for England he didn’t take it lightly and admits he got quite emotional.
He told Dion Dublin on Football Focus: “I was like, in bits, I was crying. Yeah, I really was, just because as a kid you grow up dreaming of the moment, wanting that moment for so long and then when you finally get it you feel like you’ve finally achieved something in life.
Gibbs-White will discover England fate this week
The Forest man will face an anxious wait this week to discover whether he’s kept his place in the England set up.
His sending-off against Brighton meant that he wasn’t on the pitch against Fulham – with Lee Carsley watching on from the Main Stand.

This time, Carsley will have Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham to welcome back into the reckoning and both can play in the same position as Gibbs-White.
For now, the Forest man may have to wait for another chance to shine with the Three Lions on his chest.
However, given that he’s been given a sample size of the experience, it will only make him more determined to shine for Forest and force his way back into the squad in the future.
