Nottingham Forest encountered a bit of an issue in the final third last time out against Fulham, and fans have now been reminiscing over one of their former strikers on social media.

Nottingham Forest fans criticised Taiwo Awoniyi for his performance against Fulham, as he failed to hold up the ball and wasn’t very involved.

Chris Wood wasn’t much better, struggling for service in the final third.

One of the reasons behind the lack of creativity was the absence of Morgan Gibbs-White, who was sent off for a tackle in the Brighton game.

Despite not playing against Fulham, Gibbs-White was called up to the latest England squad by Lee Carsley, which is just reward for the season he’s had.

However, it was a former player who was the topic of fans on social media after a video surfaced.

Lewis Grabban’s time at Nottingham Forest

Lewis Grabban signed for Nottingham Forest back in 2018.

He went on to make 149 appearances for the club, the most of any team he played for. In this time he scored 56 goals and provided ten assists.

The striker is currently 10th on the all-time scoring list for Forest, which isn’t a bad effort in only four years at the club.

Many Nottingham Forest fans react to Lewis Grabban goal

A video surfaced on X of an old Lewis Grabban scored against Birmingham City during his time at Nottingham Forest.

This led to fans reminiscing over the striker.

“Grabbed played a critical role in our 21/22 campaign. We should never forget that – a great servant to the club”, @cliffordtopham said.

@dan13ls4n was full of praise for him: “Our best championship striker, we were crying out for years for a player like him.”

@Stuart_Clarkson stated: “He was brilliant, played in teams that didn’t always provide him service. Just imagine him with MGW!”

@Timtitomiller mentioned: “He was our only hope for many games. Never forget how good he was for Morale.”

“He doesn’t get the credit he deserves! He was absolutely brilliant for us!”, @Tnewton_1988 said.

@kenkenkenken99 commented: “The Bagsman delivered.”
