Nottingham Forest looks to be a club that is heading firmly in the right direction.

The Premier League is now in full swing and Forest have nine points from six games so far this season.

It’s the best start to a season since the Reds returned to the Premier League after a 23-year sabbatical.

Part of the work Nuno Espirito Santo has done has centred around the squad all pulling in the same direction.

The team spirit looks to be pretty high at the City Ground and there are some real leaders in the dressing room this season.

Forest face Chelsea today looking to repeat the exploits of last season when a goal from Anthony Elanga ensured a sound victory at Stamford Bridge.

Who issues the fines at Nottingham Forest

Lots of banter flies around in modern-day dressing rooms and it would appear that Forest aren’t a club that goes against that tradition.

A report from The Telegraph has claimed that Espirito Santo stays out of squad fines, however, leaving two players to sort that out.

It’s believed that captain Ryan Yates and vice-captain Morgan Gibbs-White are left to monitor those, with a number of rules enforced on the squad.

Both players have led by example when called upon by the manager and are integral to the team’s fortunes.

Yates hasn’t always been starting games this season but Gibbs-White is probably the team’s most important player.

Team spirit high at Forest

The Reds don’t have the best squad to call upon in a league that is full of clubs who spend millions every year but they do have a group of players to be proud of now.

Forest are capable of going to big places and winning games now – as proven when the Reds defeated Liverpool last month at Anfield.

With Forest still trying to establish itself as a Premier League club it’s important that the dressing room has characters and Espirito Santo will be aware of that.

The team spirit looks to be high right now and that could take Forest a long way in the future.

With the likes of Gibbs-White and Yates in the dressing room there is hope that Forest can kick on this season.

It’s imperative that the team continues to improve and that is definitely what Evangelos Marinakis is striving for during the current campaign.
