Despite Nottingham Forest’s brilliant start to the current campaign, it appears as if there is one change they would like Nuno Espirito Santo to make.

Nuno Espirito Santo hasn’t been dealt the best hand with injuries so far this season at Nottingham Forest, as Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare look set to be out until the end of the year.

Ryan Yates and Elliot Anderson have picked things up brilliantly in the middle of midfield, and it’ll take something special to nudge them out of their spots.

Morgan Gibbs-White is another standout performer in the current campaign, though he’s now sweating on making the Crystal Palace game after suffering an injury.

This opens the door for a potential replacement, with added importance on getting the creative side of things right after struggling in his absence against Fulham.

Nottingham Forest fans already have one player in mind.

Jota Silva’s season to date at Nottingham Forest

Jota Silva made the move to Nottingham Forest from Vitória de Guimarães for £5.9 million in the summer.

Interestingly, Jota spoke to Bruno Fernandes, Cafu and Tiago Silva before making the move.

The winger has had comparisons to Jack Grealish made due to the way he wears his socks and his slicked back hair, but he’s not really had many opportunities.

To be fair to him, in the limited appearances he’s had so far this season, he’s looked rather promising and could add a lot to Forest’s attack if he’s given more of an opportunity to do so.

He’s bagged a goal and an assists in 174 minutes of football, which isn’t bad doing.

Nottingham Forest fans call for Jota Silva to start

These Nottingham Forest fans, when speaking on X, all urged Nuno Espirito Santo to start Jota.

“He has to play there but I’m worried Nuno will do what he did last week, The boy is a handful every time he’s on.”, @TrickyLMA said.
