Nottingham Forest relied on Chris Wood once again to deliver the goods against Crystal Palace, and Morgan Gibbs-White sent him a two-word message after the game.
Morgan Gibbs-White wasn’t the only member absent from Monday’s clash with Crystal Palace, as Nuno Espirito Santo and Evangelos Marinakis are both serving bans.
Nottingham Forest have done their talking on the field. A goal from Chris Wood was enough to move them up to eighth in the table after eight games.
Only Liverpool have conceded fewer goals than Nottingham Forest this season, which can partly be put down to the formidable partnership formed by Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic.
However, it was Chris Wood who got the attention of Gibbs-White after the Crystal Palace clash, as he reacted to the striker’s post on Instagram.

Morgan Gibbs-White sends two-word message to Chris Wood
Chris Wood was named in the team of the week for the Premier League by Troy Deeney after his performance against Crystal Palace.
The striker can partly have Dean Henderson to thank for a bit of an error that allowed the ball to trickle into the corner of the goal, but a goal is a goal.
Regardless, Gibbs-White took to Instagram to react to a post that Chris Wood put up of him celebrating his goal with the ball under his top.
Him and his partner are expecting a baby, which sparked a reaction from Gibbs-White.
His story on Instagram stated ‘Congrats partner’.
Chris Wood’s incredible start to the season at Nottingham Forest
We all knew Chris Wood can score goals, but he’s surpassed expectations this season.
The New Zealand international has bagged five goals in eight games in the Premier League.
Tony Cascarino even named Wood as one of the best players in the top-flight this season.
It’s believed that the club have already started looking at tying Wood down to a new deal, which would be just reward after his start to the campaign.
