Nuno Espirito Santo is preparing to make the short trip to the King Power Stadium on Friday night, with Nottingham Forest set to take on Leicester City.
Nottingham Forest are in a good place right now with results going our way and even a European place on the radar, but consistency will be the key from here.
It’s clear that the players really trust Nuno Espirito Santo and enjoy playing under him, and his system appears to suit the players to a tee.
One player who has excelled in the lone striker role for Forest is Chris Wood, who continues to score the goals with his tally now at five in eight games.
Interestingly, Steve Cooper brought up Wood in his Leicester press conference, acknowledging his goalscoring ability and how his teammates provide the service.
Now it’s Nuno’s turn to do the talking, as he was asked about Steve Cooper‘s time at Nottingham Forest.

Nuno Espirito Santo speaks out about Steve Cooper’s time at Nottingham Forest
Nuno Espirito Santo is very much a man of class and that shone through in his press conference.
He was asked about Steve Cooper and his time at the club by a reporter.
Here’s what he had to say.
“Steve did an amazing job here at Forest. He will always be remembered for the club, for the fans. He achieved something amazing that put us in the Premier League, and we are trying to follow this amazing work of of Steve.”
Nuno Espirito Santo’s record compared to Steve Cooper
Interestingly, Steve Cooper is actually superior when it comes to points per game achieved during his time at Nottingham Forest, albeit the majority of those games were in the EFL.
Cooper spent 819 days in charge and managed 108 matches in that time, of which he achieved a points per game of 1.44.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been in charge for 309 days at the City Ground, managing 34 games and achieving a points per game of 1.18.
Of course, this doesn’t tell the story of how things have gone this season, as Forest naturally won’t have had the highest points per game under Nuno when fighting relegation last season.
