Nottingham Forest fans must be getting excited about where their side currently sits in the Premier League table, though it’s not the same for everyone.
Ola Aina has been one of the shining lights for Nottingham Forest so far this season, constantly delivering on the defensive end and looking a threat going forward.
It’s crazy to think that Aina arrived on a free transfer, as there’s now clubs like Juventus and AS Roma looking to prize him away from the City Ground.
And Forest are now set to step up contract talks with Aina, as well as quickly resolving a new deal for in-form striker Chris Wood.
However, he’s certainly not getting ahead of himself, and neither is Nuno Espirito Santo judging by what he told his players before Nottingham Forest played Leicester City.

What Nuno Espirito Santo told his players before Nottingham Forest played Leicester City
Nuno Espirito Santo is a man of experience, he knows what it takes to take a side as underdogs into Europe having done it at Wolves.
It looks like he’s adopting the same relaxed approach that was seen at Molineux, with his talk to the players before Leicester proving that even more.
When speaking on SuperSport TV after the Leicester game, Ola Aina stated that Nuno Espirito Santo told his players not to take notice of the Premier League table.
“The coach told us before the game, he’s not really looking at the table like that. He just wants us to…”
Martin O’Neill jumps in and says “that’s a lie”.
O’Neill later states.
“I’ll tell you something now: when he gets off that bus tonight at the City Ground, he’ll be checking that table.”
Ola Aina continues to go from strength to strengh
Ian Wright is a big fan of the Nottingham Forest defender, labelling him as ‘excellent’ for his performance against Liverpool at Anfield.
Another Match of the Day pundit was impressed with Aina last time out against Leicester City too, as Alan Shearer gave him his credit.
It’s no surprise that Italian giants are coming looking for him ahead of January, but with contract talks set to open let’s hope he puts pen to paper.
However, the one key in January has to be keeping the bulk of players at the club and building from that, with Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo also attracting interest.
