Nuno could now hand double whammy to rival who simply can’t stop talking about Nottingham Forest

For the first time since January 2023, Nottingham Forest have a head coach nominated for the Manager of the Month accolade.

Steve Cooper was pipped to the post by Mikel Arteta back then and now Nuno Espirito Santo will hope to go one better.

This time the Forest head coach is up against Fabian Hurzeler and Pep Guardiola to claim the monthly accolade.

There is a fourth man in the race to win the accolade and it’s a rival head coach that simply cannot stop mentioning Nottingham Forest.

Nuno Espirito Santo nominated for Premier League Manager of the Month

It’s been a great month for Forest, with the Reds going unbeaten in the Premier League.

A draw against Chelsea has been followed up by good wins over Crystal Palace and Leicester, with Forest now sitting seventh in the Premier League.

Intriguingly, Espirito Santo hasn’t been on the side of the pitch for two of those three games as he serves a three-match touchline ban.

He’s up for the award though and as Forest fans, it would be a great achievement for Espirito Santo to upset the applecart and win the award.

Forest could hand second blow to Liverpool boss Arne Slot

Back in September, Forest defeated Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield and to date, it’s the only time that Slot hasn’t been victorious in a Premier League clash. Not that he’s ever mentioned it…

In the aftermath of Callum Hudson-Odoi firing Forest to a famous win, Slot just continuously kept bringing it up in really bizarre fashion.

Shortly after that defeat, Liverpool went to the San Siro and defeated Milan. After the game, all he spoke about was losing to Forest and how much of a travesty it was!

Slot should realise that he’s not managing in the Eredivisie any more and opponents will make life difficult for him in the Premier League.

There’s a sense that Slot might combust if Forest can do the unthinkable and claim a double over Liverpool when the two teams in January.

Given how he’s acted since his only Premier League defeat so far this season, it would be seriously amusing if Espirito Santo now pipped him to the Manager of the Month crown too.
