Nottingham Forest continue to defy expectations as arguably the form team in the Premier League, and pundits are beginning to take notice with Jamie O’Hara praising one man in particular.

It turned out to be an easy afternoon for Nottingham Forest, as they secured a 3-0 win over West Ham United. The red card on the stroke of halftime certainly helped things, but it was a pretty dominant display regardless.

Chris Wood was on the scoresheet once again as he grabbed his eighth goal in the Premier League, which set the Reds on their way in the first half.

Ola Aina and Callum Hudson-Odoi added the goals in the second half, which helped make it 10 points from four games now for the Reds.

Morgan Gibbs-White spoke out after the game about how delighted he was to be back, and his presence was felt massively as he was involved all over the pitch.

Jamie O’Hara was speaking on TalkSPORT after the game and couldn’t believe how underrated one player in particular is at the City Ground.

Jamie O’Hara blown away by underrated Nottingham Forest star

Jamie O’Hara wasn’t a bad player himself when he could be bothered, but now he chances his arm at punditry on TalkSPORT.

Nottingham Forest had so many impressive performance across the pitch that he could literally be talking about anyone.

However, it was that man Chris Wood once again who gets the credit.

Jamie O’Hara is still in disbelief at how underrated the New Zealand international is. He claims he deserves more praise and has always been this good.

When talking on TalkSPORT, he said this.

“I mean, Chris Wood is on fire. I think he has got eight. When you look at him, he doesn’t get actually the plaudits that he deserves, Chris Wood, does he, because he scores goals everywhere he has been.

“His Premier League record is really great. This season he is banging them in. You look around him now. He has got Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Elanga.

“They have got the focal point in Chris Wood. He deserves more praise, right?”

Chris Wood’s performance in numbers against West Ham

At this point, Nottingham Forest should be worried about other clubs coming in for Chris Wood in the January transfer window, not Murillo.

His performance against West Ham was a fairly impressive one but not his best. During his 79-minute display, he grabbed a goal, had a passing accuracy of 76%, won two duels, and made one clearance, one block and one clearance off the line.

However, he struggled to get involved in the game at times, having just 25 touches of the ball during his time on the pitch and he lost three of his five duels.

Nevertheless, it’s three points and eight goals in 10 now for Wood.
