Morgan Gibbs-White has been reacting to his good friend and teammate Murillo being called up to the Brazil national team.

Murillo has really stepped things up this season at Nottingham Forest.

A big part of that has been the relationship he’s formed with Nikola Milenkovic, as the pair of them have helped Forest establish themselves as the second best defence in the Premier League.

This has led to a number of clubs taking an interest in Murillo, but Forest have slapped a £60m-£70m price tag on the defender.

It remains to be seen as to whether any clubs will want to pay that much in a January window, but there are some big hitters involved such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

For now, Murillo is enjoying some great personal news, which sparked a reaction from Morgan Gibbs-White.

Morgan Gibbs-White reacts to Murillo’s call-up to the Brazil squad

Morgan Gibbs-White has spent the last few games out recovering from an injury, as well as one of those being the suspension he was dealt after his actions against Brighton.

Sadly, Gibbs-White is one of four players struggling with a knock ahead of the West Ham game, so Nuno Espirito Santo could be forced into some changes.

He’s taken to Instagram to selfishly congratulate one of his teammates in the form of Murillo, as the defender has just received a call-up to the Brazil squad.

The post from Gibbs-White stated ‘finally brother’ on his Instagram story.

What do the pundits think of Murillo?

Murillo has attracted praise from just about every pundit under the season with his performances in the Premier League this season.

Ian Wright admitted he’d pay his own money to watch Murillo and he thinks he’s excellent.

However, Jamie Carragher has questioned whether top clubs will want to sign Murillo as a rather big defender with a big frame, which seems like nonsense.

No matter what size or shape he is, the fact he’s putting in world-class performances should override it all.
