Nottingham Forest will be hoping to make it two consecutive home victories in the Premier League on Saturday against West Ham United.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping for some late injury boosts ahead of the game at the City Ground with Forest nursing a number of concerns.

Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White will be late injury decisions ahead of the game on Saturday with the pair carrying injury concerns.

But with Wood in such fine form, the Reds will be hoping to see the New Zealand international pull through ahead of the game.

although James Ward-Prowse will be unable to face West Ham as they are his parent side, Forest will be coming up against one of their former players in Michail Antonio.

Michail Antonio shares honest message on Nottingham Forest fans

Antonio departed the City Ground back in 2015 for the Hammers after spending the 2014/15 campaign with Forest.

The Jamaica international provided an impressive return of 19 goals and 15 assists in his 54 appearances before the Reds cashed in for a healthy profit.

Forest were linked with re-signing Antonio over the summer as their efforts to sign a striker took a real struggle.

And speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Saturday’s game [10:10am], Antonio shared a very honest response on the Forest fans.

“Unbelievable! It was an unbelievable year. I enjoyed every minute of it,” said Antonio.

“The fans there were unbelievable as well. So like I always enjoy going back to the City Ground and yeah, I loved every moment of being at the club.”

Whether Antonio would celebrate scoring against Forest

Although the 34-year-old is West Ham’s top scorer in Premier League history, Antonio is not exactly coming into the game in fine form.

Unlike Wood who is proving many people wrong, Antonio is struggling this season with a return of just one goal from his opening 10 appearances this season.

The Jamaican has started eight times in the league this season so the chances of him starting on Saturday would seem high.

But Antonio told Sky Sports that even if he is to score he would not celebrate against Forest given his positive memories for the club.

“I’ll never celebrate against them. I’ll never ever celebrate against them,” Antonio added.

“The year that I had there kind of made me as a player that I am today. So, I’ve always had respect for the club, and I will never celebrate, even though I’ve not been there for 10 years. I have that much respect for them that I’ll never do that.”
