Arne Slot starting to look obsessed after another Nottingham Forest comment in Liverpool win

Nottingham Forest are clearly starting to catch the attention of the so-called big six, with an Arne Slot mention becoming a regular occurrence this season.

Nuno Espirito Santo is slowly hunting down the best defensive record that Liverpool currently hold, with one goal now separating the two sides after a Brighton opener at Anfield.

Nottingham Forest have conceded seven goals in 10 games, whereas Liverpool are on six.

One of the goals Liverpool conceded came against the Reds, as Nuno set his side up perfectly to go to Anfield, keep the ball high up the pitch, and punish them with a Callum Hudson-Odoi strike.

Ola Aina was one of the players hailed as ‘excellent’ during the win over Liverpool by Ian Wright.

That sole loss for Liverpool appears to have stuck in the mind of Arne Slot, who has brought up Forest once again after his win against Brighton.

Arne Slot makes another Nottingham Forest comment after Liverpool’s win over Brighton

Arne Slot is clearly haunted by the loss to Nottingham Forest, as we’ve been a regular part of his press conferences since.

Interestingly, Slot stated earlier on this season that it was unbelievable that the Reds lost to Forest and ended up beating AC Milan in the Champions League.

Now, he’s made another comment in his Brighton press conference, stating that he brought up the Nottingham Forest second half to spur his team on.

His comments can be found on the Beanyman Sports YouTube channel.

“I added at half time that it is impossible to have a half like that again and it is impossible to have a period like we did in the second half against Nottingham Forest.”

Nuno Espirito Santo has the chance to get one over on Arne Slot

Nuno Espirito Santo and Arne Slot both find themselves up for the manager of the month award for October, despite the Portuguese boss serving a suspension for half the month.

Given Nottingham Forest’s start to the season and seven points form three games in October, it would be just reward for Nuno and Rui Silva, who have transformed things.

Liverpool will be keeping a close eye on Forest’s next four fixtures, with games against Newcastle United, Arsenal and Manchester City to come.
