Nottingham Forest play Newcastle this weekend in a game that looks a very exciting one on paper.
The Premier League table has a strange feel to it at the moment, with Forest sitting pretty in third place.
This certainly wasn’t in the script and Forest under Nuno Espirito Santo are quietly making waves in the top flight.
Chris Wood has won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month accolade after scoring eight goals in 10 appearances so far this season.
The striker has been grabbing the headlines but he’s not been the only one in fine form for Forest this season.
A settled group of players is finally emerging for Forest and the team look more cohesive out on the pitch.
Jeff Stelling made an amazing Forest prediction after last week’s win over West Ham and now he’s been predicting the outcome of this week’s Premier League matches.

Jeff Stelling predicts Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle United result
It does look like a really exciting game on paper this weekend with both teams playing well of late.
Newcastle claimed a really big victory last week against Arsenal at St James’ Park and they will be confident this weekend.
This will be one of the games that neutrals pay very close attention to this weekend with both teams likely to have a go in the game.
Stelling has been asked to predict all of the Premier League games that are live on Sky this weekend and thinks Forest fans might be in for another treat.
He told TalkSPORT: “Newcastle do struggle on the road a little and right now, every Nottingham Forest player is going to be feeling 10 feet tall and I’m very reluctant to go against them while they’re on this run of form.
“I’ve tipped Newcastle for the top four and that might still happen but this weekend I’m going to go against them, Nottingham Forest 1, Newcastle 0.
Forest will hope Wood steals the show again
The two home games against Newcastle since returning to the Premier League have ended in narrow defeats for Forest.
Last year’s 3-2 defeat saw Forest denied a stonewall penalty by Anthony Taylor and he’s the man tasked with reffing the game against Newcastle this season too.
The 3-1 win away, however, was arguably the most enjoyable of the entire campaign in 2024/25 with Wood notching a superb hat-trick.
His goals started a brilliant upturn in form under Espirito Santo with the striker ending the season on 14 goals.
Wood wasn’t overly popular at Newcastle and as a Forest fan, the hope will be that he can get one over his former club again on Sunday.
