Newcastle United pricked a hole in the Nottingham Forest bubble on Sunday afternoon by winning 3-1 on Trentside.
Forest were leading at the interval but a ruthless display of finishing from the Magpies ensured they headed back up the A1 with all three points.
Goals from Alexander Isak, Joelinton and Harvey Barnes ensured a routine win for Newcastle and Forest now have two weeks to lick the wounds.
Still, it’s been a great start to the season from a Forest perspective and all is not lost with 19 points from 11 games of the campaign now played.
Anthony Taylor was the match referee today and once again he found a way to seriously annoy both sets of supporters.
Forest did actually have a couple of good performers today, although Newcastle did prove to be the better side all over the pitch.

What Jamie Carragher has said about Nottingham Forest star Murillo
One serious positive was Murillo finally etching his name onto the score sheet for Forest.
This has been a long time coming and the joy was all over his face when the ball nestled into Nick Pope’s goal.
It’s a shame that the player couldn’t have scored when the team had won the match but still, at least he’s off the mark.
Forest have a seriously talented player on their hands in Murillo and the defender will now head off to play for Brazil during the international break.
Carragher is a big fan of Murillo and he already thinks Murillo is held in such high regard at the City Ground.
He told Sky Sports: “He’s a cult hero in this place. Isak drops deep and leaves a huge space. There’s a hole for Murillo to come into – and that’s where zonal marking falls down.”
Forest will earn a fortune from Murillo sale
The defender won’t spend his entire career at Forest and ultimately, the club will need a contingency play for when he does go.
In signing players like Morato and David Carmo, perhaps the work to replace him has already begun and he will leave big shoes to fill.
Forest signed Murillo for £10.6 million and the Reds are going to rake in a serious amount of profit when the Brazilian does get sold.
Hopefully, the Reds can enjoy Murillo for this season and then prepare for whatever might come after that point.
