Nottingham Forest fans are far from happy with the performance of one man during the Newcastle United clash, and it’s not a player.
Nuno Espirito Santo opted to keep the same side that won convincingly against West Ham United last time out, but it just didn’t pan out the same way against a better side.
It was a tale of two halves. Nottingham Forest headed into the break one goal to the good after Murillo grabbed his first in the red shirt, but it was a different story in the second-half.
We just weren’t able to sustain enough possession and wasted our chances at times, with a number of players looking knackered and constantly misplacing passes as vital moments.
However, it was a non-player who Nottingham Forest fans have been pointing the finger at after the full-time whistle, and you can probably already guess who it is.
Anthony Taylor makes a string of debatable decisions during Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle
Anthony Taylor was already in the bad books of the Nottingham Forest fans and players heading into the game after his bizarre actions during the Brighton clash.
Footage showed that Taylor was the one who suggested Morgan Gibbs-White had committed a second yellow card offence, despite only being the fourth official.
We all know what unfolded after that, as Nuno Espirito Santo, Evangelos Marinakis and Gibbs-White all ended up with suspensions due to their reactions.
It wasn’t much better this time round against Newcastle United either.
Kevin Nolan even said that Taylor missed a red card decision after Dan Burn halted a counter-attack whilst already on a yellow card.
There was also a Chris Wood penalty incident that many fans thought should’ve been given.
However, he was equally as bad when dealing with a couple of Ryan Yates incidents against Newcastle.

Nottingham Forest fans point the finger at Anthony Taylor during Newcastle loss
These Nottingham Forest fans, when speaking on X, all accused Anthony Taylor of ruining the game and making a number of errors.
“Never let Anthony Taylor ref a game for us again please. On our performance, we were terrible! Tough run of games coming up now so today we really needed to get something. No one was bothered today. Bad defending for their second and third. Hopefully get something at Arsenal.”, @JayNFFC_ said.
@DenverDave30 wasn’t happy: “Dan Burn should have been a red. Chris Wood should have had a penalty. But then on the flip side, Ryan Yates should have been done for GBH. Anthony Taylor misses more than Darwin Nunez”
@JameScorpio stated: “Meanwhile in a parallel universe where Anthony Taylor doesn’t exist, Burn gets a second yellow #nffc.”
