Nottingham Forest have their sights set on securing a double contract agreement ahead of the January transfer window, with any moves put to one side.
Nuno Espirito Santo won’t have many worries despite defeat against Newcastle, as they were simply the better side last time out in the Premier League.
Many fans may be wondering what kind of moves the club could make in the January transfer window to strengthen their European bid, with the fine start possibly opening the door for bigger moves.
However, the January transfer window is often a quiet one due to PSR issues and clubs being unwilling to do much selling or transfer business.
Interestingly, it looks as if Nottingham Forest are prioritising a double in-house agreement instead, as Graeme Bailey shares what he knows.

Nottingham Forest prioritising new deals for Ola Aina and Chris Wood
It has been reported that Chris Wood and Ola Aina are in talks over new deals at Nottingham Forest.
Both players have been key cogs in the Nottingham Forest wheel this season, with the former scoring eight in 11 games, whilst Aina has chipped in and contributed to the fantastic defensive record.

Speaking exclusively to Nottingham Forest News, Graeme Bailey has shared the latest on Nottingham Forest’s plans ahead of January.
“I think they’re happy with the squad, Danilo is coming back. They’re very happy with where they are. Obviously, contract talks ongoing with Aina and Wood.
“I think that’s the priority at the moment. The thing with Forest is, like most clubs in the world, every player has their price, but they’re pretty substantial.
“Forest set their stall out when they sold Johnson for just under 50, so they’re in a good place Forest and no one is going to be sold on the cheap. They’re in a pretty good position to be honest.”
A smart move from Evangelos Marinakis
Evangelos Marinakis has impressed everyone with his dealings during the summer transfer window, as it’s allowed Nottingham Forest to really push on and climb the table this season.
Elliot Anderson and Nikola Milenkovic were both signed at fantastic prices, £35 million and £12 million respectively, and could easily fetch double in the future.
Ola Aina is attracting interest from Italy with his contract set to expire, whilst Chris Wood is more than deserving of a new deal for his efforts this season.
Of course, adding to the team could prove key in the second half of the season, but there aren’t any major improvements right now that Nuno will be seeking.
