The Nottingham Forest academy is one aspect of the football club that supporters are typically united with.
Forest have had a number of players over the years who have come through the academy and then made the club millions when the time has come for them to be sold.
Most notably, Matty Cash raked in £16 million having risen from the academy, whilst Brennan Johnson signed for Tottenham in the summer of 2023 for £47.5 million.
The players currently turning out for the Forest academy will undoubtedly use those two players as inspirations, with Premier League football now at the summit of the pathway at the City Ground.
With Forest having a Category One academy these days it means that more lucrative tournaments are on offer for the youngster to take part in.
Last week, the Reds bowed out of the EFL Trophy after a shootout defeat to Wigan and this week it was the turn of the Premier League International Cup.

Nottingham Forest defeat Ajax 1-0 in Premier League International Cup
This was a night to remember for the Forest youngsters as Ajax were put to the sword.
A closely fought contest had looked to be heading towards a stalemate but Forest talent Jack Nadin had other ideas.
The versatile attacker slotted home with just three minutes remaining on the clock to see Forest earn a big three points in the group stage of the competition.
Forest currently sit in second place behind Valencia in Group A, with three matches completed.
The Reds now have Monaco to play in December and after that point the club will know whether or not they have done enough to be in the knockout stages of the competition.
Aaron Bott stars just hours after signing professional contract
This night could have been so much different were it not for the brilliance of Bott between the Forest posts.
No sooner had Forest gone ahead, the goalkeeper was called into action to make a brilliant save from the Ajax centre-forward who missed a glorious chance for an instant response.
Bott only signed a professional contract yesterday, with Academy Director, Chris McGuane calling the 20-year-old ‘fantastic’ for his efforts behind the scenes.
The stopper has been working with the first-team goalkeepers as the third-choice custodian and can regularly be seen on a matchday with the players.
He made a number of brilliant saves last night and after being at the club for 13 years, he will hope to eventually make the step up and play regular first-team action.
