Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side will have been desperate to get back to winning ways after being dominated against Manchester City at the Etihad.
Nottingham Forest now find themselves back up to fifth in the Premier League, just two points behind Manchester City in the Champions League places.
It wasn’t an easy evening for Forest as they were under pressure for large parts, but the defence stood strong after Morato’s introduction and a switch to a back three.

Jota Silva’s performance in numbers vs Manchester United
Jota Silva joined for around £5.9 million in the summer transfer window, and he’s had to wait for his chances at the City Ground.
The Manchester United clash was the third start in a row for Jota Silva.
His inclusion in the starting XI proved to be the correct decision as he was the standout performer for Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese winger was absolutely everywhere. He was heavily involved with all things good in the final third for Forest, creating and starting attacks.
He was strangely substituted after 67 minutes, despite his promising display. During this time he made one key pass, had 25 touches, had one shot blocked, hit the woodwork with a header, won three duels, made one clearance, one interception and two tackles (SofaScore).

Jota Silva shares what he loves about the Premier League
Jota hasn’t been in the Premier League for long, but he’s already loving playing against his fellow countrymen.
“Collectively we are making a good start to the season, individually too. Everything is going well and my first impressions of the city and the club, are very good.
“I’ve already had the opportunity to face some of the Portuguese in the competition, I’m keeping in touch with some, and I believe that over the last few years they’ve left their mark on the Premier League. They are there shining and this also demonstrates the quality that Portuguese football has.
“As much as I always believed, it was difficult to say five years ago that I would be playing in the best league in the world. It was a lot of work, a lot of dedication and never giving up.
“There are many paths to success and sometimes some are more complicated, but they have a lot of flavour when you get there.”
