Nottingham Forest made a number of top quality signings in the summer transfer window, and Jota Silva already appears to be one of them.

Jota Silva joined Nottingham Forest for £5.9 million from Portuguese club Vitoria.

The winger enjoyed a successful time of things in Portugal, scoring 20 goals and assisting 11 in 83 games.

He’s settled quicker than most players do when they make the transition to the Premier League, despite not starting yet in the league this season.

Alan Smith has already described Jota as playing like Jack Grealish, as well as his looks.

Interestingly, the 25-year-old has now come out and spoken about his time at Nottingham Forest so far, and what it’s like to play in the Premier League.

Jota Silva shares his first impression of Nottingham Forest

The likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga enjoying fine starts to the season hasn’t made it easy for Jota Silva to break into the starting XI in the Premier League.

However, he has impressed in his limited minutes so far, grabbing a goal and an assist.

We can already tell he’s quick, a direct runner and very good with the ball at his feet, just the end product has let him down at times.

Regardless, he appears to be enjoying life at Nottingham Forest as he shared his first impression of the club in a recent interview with Zero Zero.

“Collectively we are making a good start to the season, individually too. Everything is going well and my first impressions of the city and the club, are very good.

“I’ve already had the opportunity to face some of the Portuguese in the competition, I’m keeping in touch with some, and I believe that over the last few years they’ve left their mark on the Premier League. They are there shining and this also demonstrates the quality that Portuguese football has.

“As much as I always believed, it was difficult to say five years ago that I would be playing in the best league in the world. It was a lot of work, a lot of dedication and never giving up.

“There are many paths to success and sometimes some are more complicated, but they have a lot of flavour when you get there.”

A winger supposedly being eyed by Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest appear to have a couple of wingers on their radar at this moment in time, which does seems strange given their depth.

Ramon Sosa and Jota Silva are already waiting in the wings and have shown they can cope with the demands of the Premier League, so to sign another one seems like overkill.

Regardless, one player that Nottingham Forest have been linked with is Bayern Munich youngster Mathys Tel, which would be a loan move if it ever came to fruition.

Also, West Brom star Tom Fellows is also being eyed by Forest, and they even sent scouts to watch him.
