Nottingham Forest have made a lot of pundits look silly so far this season, but two in particular made a prediction that is already basically proved wrong.
Nuno Espirito Santo is working his magic once again in the Premier League, as he looks like shocking the world by taking another team many people didn’t fancy into Europe.
Nottingham Forest currently find themselves in fifth position on goal difference, but their progress from here will hinge on some difficult fixtures against Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa in the next five.

Regardless, there are very few people who at this stage would have even expected Nottingham Forest to be in the top-half of the table, yet alone the European places.
Two pundits in particular look rather silly after the prediction they made before the season started.

Tim Howard and Robbie Earle’s predicted Nottingham Forest to suffer relegation
Tim Howard certainly has the top level experience having appeared 399 times in the Premier League, whilst Robbie Earle made 243 appearances in the top flight.
However, they made a prediction prior to the season starting that they’ll surely be embarrassed by.
Speaking on NBC a couple of months back, both Howard and Earle predicted relegation for Nottingham Forest, alongside Leicester City and Southampton.
Robbie Mustoe was the only one who saved his blushes, predicting Ipswich Town instead of Forest.
Pundits ignored the early warning signs at Nottingham Forest
After landing Elliot Anderson in the summer it was obvious that things would improve certainly in an attacking sense, as Newcastle didn’t even want to let him go.
Kelvin Wilson knew how good of a player Anderson is. He’s already come out this season to share his disbelief at how Forest even pulled off a deal for the midfielder.
Nikola Milenkovic’s signing is one of the most underrated ones of the lot.
Forest’s defence was all over the shop last season and they just couldn’t defend a set-piece. The introduction of the Serbian has been huge, which is backed up by the fact they now have one of the best defensive records in the Premier League right now.
No one should underestimate Nuno Espirito Santo having seen what he achieved during his time at Wolves, with a number of European pushes.
