Nottingham Forest have enjoyed a rather successful time of things in the Premier League this season, which is opening the door for transfers that never would have been possible before.
Evanglos Marinakis will have no concerns about handing Nuno Espirito Santo a bit of money in the January transfer window, as he’s more than shown he knows how to handle a budget.
Nottingham Forest landed Nikola Milenkovic for £12 million, which is just crazy to say in hindsight. That’s not all though, as Elliot Anderson also joined for just £35 million.
Alex Moreno is another transfer that many fans don’t mention but has proven equally as important, as he’s now forced Ola Aina over to the right with how good he’s been.
There is one player Nottingham Forest have been linked with and he’s name is Mathys Tel.

Bayern Munich share Mathys Tel transfer stance with Nottingham Forest ahead of January
Mathys Tel can operate on either wing and has already enjoyed chances in the Bayern Munich first team this season, appearing seven times.
However, only a few of these appearances have been starts, and at the age of 19, regular football is importance in order to further develop.
Interestingly, the stance of Bayern Munich has now been revealed ahead of the January transfer window.
According to CaughtOffside, some initial talks have taken place, but Bayern remain adamant that Tel is not available on a permanent transfer, and the final decision on a January move will rest with the player.
Nottingham Forest’s options out wide
It does seem a slightly strange transfer if Nottingham Forest do go for a loan move.
The likes of Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi have established themselves as the first-choice wing pairing, and Ramon Sosa and Jota Silva are already waiting in the wings.
Considering a loan move normally comes about to prove more regular football, there currently isn’t a space for Tel to enjoy the amount of minutes he needs.
Nottingham Forest would be better off putting their time into finding a striker who can deputise if Taiwo Awoniyi or Chris Wood suffer an injury.
