Callum Hudson-Odoi says Nottingham Forest have a ‘brilliant player’ on their hands, he’s an ‘animal’

Nottingham Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi is busy making waves at the City Ground.

The Reds performer scored eight goals during 2024/25 and ultimately he’s proved a steal at half the price.

Hudson-Odoi cost Forest just £3 million in the summer of 2023 as Steve Cooper reunited himself with the player he coached in the England under-17 setup.

This season the player scored the winner in a game at Liverpool away and has also bagged a goal against West Ham during a 3-0 win.

It’s fair to say that Hudson-Odoi is still striving for his best form this season but nonetheless, he’s proved a quality purchase.

The Reds have made a fine start to the 2024/25 campaign and currently sit fifth in the Premier League table at this moment in time.

Part of the success has been the solidity of the rearguard and Forest have been indebted to the form of Nikola Milenkovic.

Hudson-Odoi spoke to The Byline over a game of FC25 this week and he was asked which Forest player would bench the highest amount.

The big Serb got the nod from Hudson-Odoi and it appears he takes a lot of pride in his preparation prior to matches.

He said: “I would say Milenkovic, he’s an animal. He absolutely loves the gym. Brilliant player.”

To get a centre-back in the form of his life for £12 million is a feather in the cap of the club’s recruitment team.

Milenkovic has been brilliant for the Reds and he’s added something that was missing to the Forest squad.

Paul McGregor says that Milenkovic is the final piece of the jigsaw and his partnership with Murillo is clearly flourishing.

Milenkovic is exactly the sort of player that Forest needed to sign and it’s no surprise that Hudson-Odoi has hailed the work he does away from a matchday too.
