Nottingham Forest News have now received some information on whether Douglas Luiz is a genuine target for the club during the January transfer window.
The Reds are sitting pretty in the Premier League right now. Very few people – including ardent Forest supporters – would have predicted the team to be third after 20 games of the campaign.

With Forest flying in the Premier League, the links are coming thick and fast with Evangelos Marinakis likely to be preparing some swoops to bolster the squad this month.
One name linked with Forest has been Douglas Luiz. The player only moved to Juventus in the summer but having played just nine times this season a return to the Premier League might be on the cards.

Nottingham Forest don’t want another midfielder
For those fans considering saving their Christmas money to get Luiz’s name and new Forest number on the back of their new jersey, it could be bad news.
Graeme Bailey has exclusively told Nottingham Forest News that a midfielder is very unlikely to be in the sights of the club this month, with another area being linked up for reinforcements.
He told us: “I’ve not been told directly about Luiz but I’ve been told that Forest aren’t actively looking for a midfielder this month. A striker is most likely, but only if the right deal comes up.”
Luiz was a revelation for Aston Villa last season, scoring 10 goals and claiming 10 assists as the West Midlands-based club reached the Champions League.
Forest given green light to sign Igor Jesus
The Reds will only try and sign a striker if it fits the right profile and this feels like positive news from our source here.
Chris Wood has scored 12 times this season and it’s important that whoever comes into the club doesn’t upset the applecart too much.
Igor Jesus is one player Forest have been looking at and he’s now given the green light for Premier League clubs to come and sign him.
Fulham and Ipswich are also interested in signing the 23-year-old Brazilian but with a number of players from that part of the world in the Forest squad, the Reds might hold the aces.
He helped Botafogo win the Brazilian title for the first time ever last season and if he does come to Forest, he’d be oozing confidence.
