There’s nothing more frustrating for Nottingham Forest fans than seeing their players pick up injuries, with a period on the sidelines potentially season-defining for the whole club.

The Forest training ground is constantly busy with both the first team and the academy training together to achieve their goals.

If the Reds are to continue progressing up the Premier League table, they need their best players fit so the medical staff are just as crucial as the Forest coaching staff in achieving the wider goals of Evangelos Marinakis.

His plans are always ambitions, with the City Ground redevelopent a testament to this. But for any of this to be worth it, the stars on the pitch need to be firing so with that said, here is all you need to know about the medical department that keeps Forest ticking.

Amongst this group, Dimitris Kaplanis also delivered physiotherapy at Marinakis-owned Olympiacos in Greece before moving to Forest. Filipe Valente was also brought in from abroad, working for Estoril in Portugal for 10 years where he would’ve come across Nuno Espirito Santo in his early managerial career.

There are also Liam Brown and Rory Staunton in the physio department who are more focused on the Professional Development Phase (PDP) which will benefit those breaking through the Forest Academy.

Nottingham Forest nutritionists

Both Amy Gore and Daniel Lima are nutritionists at the club, making sure that the Forest squad are living healthy lives away from the medical room as well.

Lima has also had plenty of experience in Portuguese football before arriving at Forest, working with, amongst others, Casa Pia, who are also owned by the Forest owner as part of his wide footballing group.
