Nottingham Forest beat Manchester United 1-0 at the City Ground on Tuesday, with Anthony Elanga in truly memorable form.

This one clearly meant a lot to the Forest speed demon.

Elanga was compared to Usain Bolt after his electric sprint down the length of the pitch to fire Forest into an early lead against United.

The victory cemented Forest’s third-place position in the Premier League, and now the team are dreaming of Champions League football.

Scoring against Manchester United would normally be something to celebrate.

However, Elanga has a strong affection for the club that nurtured him as a kid coming through the ranks and he showcased true professionalism by keeping things low-key.

For a very brief moment, it looked as though Elanga would celebrate against his former club.

It’s somewhat traditional in modern-day football not to celebrate a goal against the team you previously played for and Elanga stayed true to that.

Gibbs-White risked the wrath of his teammate, however, by pointing to the Forest badge on his shirt, in a nod towards his usual celebration.

Elanga merely offered a little wink and palmed his hand towards the floor as though to tell his teammate to just calm down a little bit.

The goal proved to be the winner and Elanga did compliment Manchester United after the game.

Not that the winger hasn’t been in good form of late but this performance was unbelievable from the former United man.

Elanga was clearly keen to prove a point to the fans he used to play in front of and how the current Red Devils outfit would welcome a player of this nature.

Forest have a star in the making on their hands and at 22-years-old, it’s very exciting to see how far he can go.
