Nottingham Forest are still in the mix to qualify for the Champions League next season and hold a lofty third-place position in the Premier League.
Forest beat Everton 2-0 in December and have sat third ever since, with the Reds set to face the Toffees in the reverse fixture at the City Ground this weekend.
Nuno Espirito Santo has worked tirelessly to get Forest on this path towards European football and it’s quite the transformation from 12 months ago.
With Europe set to be on the fixture list next season, it’s likely that Forest will have a busy summer, with several new players likely to be on the radar.
Evangelos Marinakis was desperate to sign a striker in January and it does feel as though a marquee addition will be made to the attack.

Nottingham Forest given fresh hope of signing Ademola Lookman
According to Give Me Sport, Forest are lining up a fresh move to try and bring Ademola Lookman to the City Ground during the summer.
The Atalanta player had a very public dispute with boss Gian Piero Gasperini earlier in the campaign and the writing is now on the wall for Lookman.
Last season, the player scored a scintillating hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final and a return to England does look to be on the cards.
Lookman has played for Everton, Fulham and Leicester in the Premier League with very limited success in the top-flight.
However, Lookman has developed a lot in Italy and he was nominated for the Ballon d’Or for his efforts, with the player going to be extremely sought after this summer.
Ademola Lookman stats 2024/25
It’s claimed that Forest will need to be in the Champions League to tempt Lookman to the City Ground this summer and he will cost around £43 million.
However, those sums won’t be too much for Forest to fork out, especially if the Champions League is on the agenda for next season.
| Ademola Lookman stats 2024/25 | Total |
| Appearances | 34 |
| Goals | 18 |
| Assists | 7 |
Lookman is an international performer with Nigeria so will know Ola Aia and Taiwo Awoniyi already, should he look to put some roots down in Nottingham.
This is exactly the sort of signing that will get the fan base excited ahead of next season and hopefully, the Reds can get Champions League football secured as quickly as possible.
