Nottingham Forest defeated Tottenham 2-1 away from home on Monday Night Football to get back on track in the quest to claim Champions League football next season.
The Reds had suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Everton and Aston Villa in recent weeks, with Forest dropping out of the top five before kick-off in North London.
This Forest team are resolute beyond belief this season, however, and once again they showed a granite posterior to bounce back and take their place back in third on the Premier League table.
Once again, this was a team effort from a Forest perspective. Elliot Anderson and Chris Wood scored the goals but there were other players who deserved honourable mentions for their efforts.
Troy Deeney has picked his Team of the Week once again and although he’s named one Forest player, there is a feeling that one other in particular can count himself unlucky to miss out.

Troy Deeney raves about Elliot Anderson
Just weeks after Deeney slated Anderson for his performance against Newcastle in the Premier League, it would appear that the former professional has now been left suitably impressed.
Anderson has received the nod for the Team of the Week on the BBC Sport website but Matz Sels has been omitted despite his wonderful saves to keep Tottenham at bay for large parts of the game.
Deeney said of the Forest midfielder: “He does his job without too much huff and puff, and he added a bit extra with a goal at Tottenham.”
Anderson scored his second Forest goal with a long-range effort that crashed into the top corner of the net after two deflections left the Tottenham defenders shellshocked.
Elliot Anderson stats vs Tottenham
This was a coming-of-age performance from a player who is still only 22-years-old and will only continue to get better in the coming years at Forest.
He’s not played this much Premier League
football consistently before, and it’s a testament to the player just how well he’s managed to do in the team this year.
Anderson is an England under-21 international and in the coming months, he might push for a place in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the summer internationals, with one of the games to come at the City Ground.
This performance was brilliant from the Forest man last night and if he can add even more goals to his game, perhaps the £35 million that the club paid for him will start to look like a real steal.
