Nottingham Forest won at Tottenham on Monday night to go back into third place in the Premier League table with just five games of the 2024/25 campaign left to play.
The Reds are still on the hunt for Champions League football next season, with this 2-1 victory coming at the perfect time after two successive defeats and the teams around Forest starting to hit some form.
Harry Toffolo came into the fold last night and produced a wonderful goalline clearance to preserve the points for Forest in the second half, with his professionalism unrivalled.
The win was secured by Elliot Anderson and Chris Wood, with the latter also seeing a goal disallowed for offside before he headed home Anthony Elanga’s cross to make it 2-0.
There were a number of top performers once again in the Garibaldi, with Michael Dawson picking out his top player from the win over Tottenham, which gave the Reds a league double over Spurs this season.

Michael Dawson hails Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson
The former Forest defender had a foot in both camps last night, with the four-time England central defender still an ambassador for Tottenham after his time as a player in North London.
Dawson watched on as the team he claims to support ran riot in the opening 20 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and afterwards he raved about Anderson for his performance.
He told Sky Sports: “Elliot Anderson, what a signing he’s been for Nottingham Forest. He gets fortunate with the deflection but it’s a great strike. He’s been brilliant all season.”

The 22-year-old has been a brilliant signing for Forest since checking in from Newcastle for £35 million in the summer transfer window and he’s stamped his authority on the team.
Anderson, perhaps, wasn’t predicted to play too much football this season, with the player coming from a club where he’d primarily played as a number 10 and it might have been anticipated that he was going to be a backup option to Morgan Gibbs-White.
Instead, he’s become the team’s number eight on a regular basis, with the England under-21 player being the mainstay in the team when the debate has rumbled on over who should operate in the engine room.
Anderson is going to be a star of the future and if he can continue adding goals to his game, it’s surely only a matter of time before Thomas Tuchel takes a look at him for the England squad.
