Nottingham Forest will be an attractive destination for domestic and overseas talent.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side currently reside in third place, so supporters are starting to dream about Champions League football.

The Tricky Trees have a three-point buffer on sixth-placed Chelsea heading into the final five games of the season.

Evidently, if they manage to secure a top-five finish, they’ll have a much bigger budget to spend this summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest are already eyeing Alexis Saelemaekers, who has enjoyed a terrific campaign in Serie A with Roma.

Nottingham Forest should also be looking closer to home and with that said, here are three players from the relegated Premier League teams they must consider targeting.

Three players Nottingham Forest should target from relegated Premier League teams

Bilal El Khannouss – Leicester City

Pretty much from the get-go, everything that could’ve gone wrong has at Leicester City, hence why they find themselves mathematically relegated with five games remaining.

However, Bilal El Khannnouss has been one shining light, at least, and he is sure to attract interest ahead of the window opening in June.

The Moroccan playmaker, who joined in a £21m deal from Genk last summer, is on Arsenal and Liverpool’s radar, so clearly he’s impressed despite operating in a struggling side.

If Forest do end up selling Morgan Gibbs-White to Manchester City, El Khannouss would be the perfect replacement.

Tyler Dibling – Southampton

Forest are clearly in the market for a wide player this summer and Southampton’s Tyler Dibling would be a top acquisition.

Dibling, similarly to El Khannouss, has been the only shining light for the Saints and has widespread interest in his signature.

The south coasters have slapped an eye-watering £100m price tag on the 19-year-old, however, he’s of course likely to be sold for much less than that fee.

Former manager Russell Martin described Dibling as the best player he’s ever worked with.

“And I don’t want to make things more difficult for him, but he’s the most talented player I’ve ever seen,” Martin said on the Rest Is Football podcast.

Martin added: “And Tyler has every capability to go and play for England and at a top level for a very long time, because he’s powerful, he’s really quick. Both feet can shoot, no bang bang. I worked with Harry Kane at 21 when he came to Norwich on loan as well.”

Leif Davis – Ipswich Town

With Alex Moreno and Harry Toffolo out of contract in the summer, a left-back will certainly be high on Nuno’s list of priorities.

Forest are keeping tabs on Dortmund left-back Daniel Svensson, and they should also consider Ipswich Town’s Leif Davis.

Whilst Ipswich aren’t officially relegated, their fate is all but sealed as they sit 15 points adrift from safety, so Davis would be a very attainable target.

The former Leeds United defender laid on a whopping 21 assists in the Championship last term and has registered a respectable four goal involvements in the top-flight this term.

So, if Forest are looking for a more attack-minded full-back, they should look no further than Davis.
