Murillo has enjoyed huge success with Nottingham Forest this campaign, but the Brazilian is hoping for more come the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has been an instrumental part of Forest’s surge up the Premier League table this season, alongside defensive partner Nikola Milenkovic.
Murillo has earned international recognition for his performances at the heart of the Forest backline, with several rival clubs now eyeing up his signature.
Chelsea have shortlisted Murillo as a target ahead of the summer, but the Forest defender is seemingly blocking out the noise ahead of what could be a crucial month for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Murillo speaks on Champions League hopes
With both Champions League and FA Cup glory to play for, Murillo is staying concentrated on the task at hand, recently outlining his ambitions for the club.
In an interview with Forest TV, the Brazilian claimed he is trying to build a legacy at the City Ground and believes Champions League qualification could help him do that.
“My goal is to achieve something nobody has ever done. I think there’s a quote that says: ‘If someone does something, I’ll do it too. And if nobody has, I’ll be the first one to do it.’ I try to leave my mark wherever I go.
“So people can say: ‘Murillo was a great player. He’s played here.’ I try to leave this (legacy), so I’m trying my best to get the team into the Champions League, to perform well in the Premier League and to reach the level I know I’m capable of.
“It’s about playing my best for the fans who are always there showing their support. And, above all, earning the respect of all the players and the club staff. That’s the main thing, when people see you and say: ‘Not only was he a good player, but a great human being, a great man.’ I think that’s the main thing.”
What is the latest on Murillo’s Nottingham Forest future
Murillo’s ‘brilliant’ performances have meant there has been no shortage of clubs lining up for his services.
European giants Real Madrid tried to sign Murillo in January, and it seems top clubs may come back in for the defender this summer.
| Murillo 24/25 stats | Apps | Goals | Minutes played |
| Premier League | 32 | 1 | 2.840′ |
| FA Cup | 2 | – | 240′ |
That is according to CaughtOffside, who claim Arsenal and Liverpool are the main clubs interested in the Brazilian, with the pair looking to return for Murillo after unsuccessful talks in January.
Forest are reportedly still adamant that they don’t want to sell the defender, but with Europe’s best circling, they may potentially be forced into a sale if the price is right.
