Nottingham Forest will ideally want to keep Murillo at the City Ground in the January transfer window, but there may be a price that Evangelos Marinakis decides to cave in at.
Murillo has been one of the stories of the season for Nottingham Forest, with his performances for the Reds catching the eyes of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
It’s still mind-blowing to think that Evangelos Marinakis paid just £15 million for the centre-back less than two years ago, and the best part is he’s still only 22.
Nuno Espirito Santo will have a lot to say about Murillo’s future as he’s been a key cog in what is currently the second best defence in the Premier League.
However, there comes a time when you have to take profit if the right offer arrives, and it appears as if there is a fee that Nottingham Forest have in mind for the Brazilian.

Nottingham Forest demanding £80 million for Murillo sale
Real Madrid were spotted watching Murillo at the City Ground recently when Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-1 by Newcastle United.
Annoyingly, the centre-back notched his first ever goal for Forest with a nicely taken header.
Los Blancos clearly liked what they saw as they continue to register an interest, but Nottingham Forest will have a huge say with the price tag they’ve slapped on Murillo.
According to the Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest want £80 million if they are to sell Murillo.
It’s claimed that Real Madrid only value him at just £40 million and Nottingham Forest are not under any pressure to sell, though.
Is selling Murillo a real possibility in January?
The January transfer window doesn’t usually involve many big moves as clubs look to keep their powder dry ready for the summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s stance on Murillo is very clear. He recently came out and spoke about just how huge he is for Nottingham Forest and the important part he’s already played this season.
An £80 million bid would certainly give Marinakis something to think about, but it could very much depend on whether there is a suitable replacement available on the market.
The Nottingham Forest chief has already shown he’s not afraid to accept big sums for star players, as Brennan Johnson joined Tottenham Hotspur for just shy of £50 million.
Ideally, a summer transfer exit would be best as this gives Forest even more time to find an appropriate replacement, as opposed to panicking amid a European bid.
