Nottingham Forest’s positive run came to an end at the City Ground at the weekend, and it appears as if Real Madrid and Barcelona were in attendance to keep an eye on three players.

Nuno Espirito Santo picked up the Premier League Manager of the Month award just days before the game, and many fans were calling it a curse as Newcastle picked up all three points.

It was an impressive first-half from Forest and Murillo even grabbed his first goal for the club, but Newcastle were far superior in the second-half and deserved the win.

Nottingham Forest now find themselves in fifth position on goal difference, which is still an amazing achievement at this point in the season.

Interestingly, it has come out since that Barcelona and Real Madrid were in attendance to watch three players during the Premier League clash.

Murillo continues to go from strength to strength

Murillo has been attracting the interest of Liverpool as they look to find a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk. It comes as no surprise as he’s looked world-class in the red shirt this season.

The Brazilian national team have noticed just how well Murillo has done this season in the Premier League, having handed him a call-up for the international break.

Nottingham Forest fans love him, with Jamie Carragher even pointing out that Murillo has already earnt himself the status of cult hero at the City Ground.
