Zach Abbott was a surprise inclusion for Nottingham Forest against Man City, and the youngster has since reacted to his Wembley appearance.
Nuno Espirito Santo earned criticism for his lineup against the Citizens, but one decision he did get right on the day was starting Abbott at right-back.
The 18-year-old provided a solid performance up against the likes of Omar Marmoush and Jack Grealish, with fans lauding Abbott’s display post-match.
No doubt still on cloud nine from his FA Cup cameo, the youngster has since spoken on the experience of playing at Wembley.

Zach Abbott thanks Nottingham Forest fans
Despite having only made two appearances for Forest before his Wembley outing, Ryan Yates claimed Abbott looked relaxed prior to kick-off.
Those nerves, however, slightly waned in the warm-up according to Abbott, after he heard the Forest fans chanting his name.
Speaking to ITV Sport post-match, the 18-year-old reacted to his performance, also thanking the Forest supporters in the process.
“It’s a bittersweet moment for me. It’s a really proud day for me and my family. I have dreamt about days like this, all of us together, because there is so much sacrifice and hard work that goes into getting me here from them, also. It’s a bittersweet moment as the result didn’t go our way, unfortunately.
“The fans were excellent, immense. When I heard them chanting my name in the warm-up, I got goosebumps. It was one of the best feelings of my life.”
Abbott could play key role in Premier League run-in
Later in the interview, Abbott was questioned about what’s next for him and Forest, and the youngster would provide a defiant message ahead of the run-in.
“It’s massive, to get that top five, it would mean a lot to us. That’s all we are focused on now, it’s five more finals, five more massive games. We are so focused on it and we can’t wait for the run-in.”
So with Abbott fired up for the remaining games, it begs the question as to whether he will actually be involved.
Ola Aina’s injury has seen Harry Toffolo return to the fold in recent weeks, with Neco Williams switching back to right-back.
But with Aina yet to return and Toffolo no stranger to injury issues, Abbott may potentially be forced into the limelight before the season ends.

If the 18-year-old is called upon during the run-in, you would back him to provide goods following his Wembley display.
