Nottingham Forest’s dreams of Champions League football face five more challenges, with the first of those coming against Brentford.

Forest were defeated by Man City in the FA Cup semi-final last weekend, so Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will no doubt be desperate to get back on the winning trail.

The City Ground outfit grinded out a tough 2-1 victory against Spurs last time out in the Premier League, and they will again be hoping to do the same when Brentford come to town on Thursday evening.

Thomas Frank’s men don’t exactly have much to play for, currently sitting 11th in the table, they are, however, unbeaten in their last three against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

With that being said, here is everything you need to know ahead of what could be a make-or-break game for Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest team/injury news

Zach Abbott was a surprise inclusion in Forest’s lineup against Man City, with the youngster impressing against the likes of Omar Marmoush. The 18-year-old’s Wembley cameo was cut short with injury, however, meaning he likely won’t start on Thursday evening.

Forest’s defence, though, will be boosted by the return of Neco Williams, having missed the FA Cup semi-final through suspension. Ola Aina’s injury, however, will likely rule him out for another week.

Ryan Yates was also suspended for the City clash and could return to the starting lineup against Brentford, with fellow midfielder Danilo disappointing at Wembley.
