Nottingham Forest signed Tyler Bindon from Reading in the winter transfer window.

After impressing in League One, Nottingham Forest moved quickly to sign Tyler Bindon mid-season before loaning him back to the Royals.

The 20-year-old centre-back had widespread interest in his signature, with even Arsenal linked at one stage.

Reading journalist Ji-Min Lee posted on X: “£700k for Bindon is hardly surprising given his contract situation, but still doesn’t feel great when you know he’s going to be worth £30m+ in a few years.”

Clearly, Nottingham Forest have a very talented player on their hands and that’s only amplified by Reading supporters, who have flocked to social media to heap praise on the young defender.

Reading fans raving about Nottingham Forest loanee Tyler Bindon

Tyler Bindon was just voted Reading’s Player of the Season and fans raved about the Nottingham Forest loanee in the comments section.

@ks2418 replied: “A generational player at this level we may never see the likes of again, good luck in all you achieve in your career. Once a royal always a royal!”

“He’s going to the very top,” @Tatum1871 commented.

“Deserved imo. Enjoy Forest. Look forward to seeing him rise to the top,” @toby1139 said.

@_LukeUTD_ added: “Totally deserved. One hell of a defender. Going to really miss him and Brian Carey has one hell of a job finding a replacement.”

@MarkWatkins210 posted: “Well deserved – the “new” Bobby Moore. Forest have a bargain!”

@JmlJourno said: “Hero’s farewell for Tyler Bindon who picks up the player of the season award. Go well- going to have a great career…”

Where next for Bindon?

After winning the award, Bindon thanked Reading for giving him the platform to kickstart his career.

“Very proud, you know, this club’s given me so much, it’s allowed me to start off my career, it’s given me so much, so I just wanted to give as much as possible back.”

Now, the question is, where next for Bindon? Well, with Murillo linked with a move to Chelsea, that could open the door for the New Zealand international to make the jump to the Premier League.

There will inevitably be Championship interest in his signature, so perhaps that’d be better for his development before making it in the big league.

Bindon recently said he’s expecting to be part of Forest’s pre-season, so it’ll all depend on what impression he makes on Nuno.
