Michael Dawson predicts whether Nottingham Forest will finish in the top five
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Michael Dawson gave his thoughts on Forest’s chances in the Champions League race.
“It’ll be a huge disappointment for everyone involved in Nottingham Forest if they don’t manage to do it,” Dawson explained.
“But European football in some capacity can be a positive season. But they will still have the belief that if they win the last three games which are winnable games.
“But I’ve said Newcastle Chelsea this weekend, there’s some huge games and you look at Chelsea beating Liverpool at the weekend, it was probably the worst case scenario that Liverpool got the job done a week before for teams chasing the Champions League because it was a big result for Chelsea.
“But I’ve said, it’s going to go right to the wire, it’s so competitive, it’s a great race, and it keeps us all excited because everything else is done.
Dawson made his prediction: “I’ve still got the belief that Forest can do it and it’ll come down to the final game.”
Forest could be without two key players for the remainder of the season
Forest have been unlucky with injuries recently, as Ola Aina has had a spell on the sidelines with a torn calf.
Nuno confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi will miss the Leicester game, having missed the trip to Crystal Palace.
And now, Murillo is the latest injury concern with the club awaiting a scan on what appears to be a hamstring issue.
The Brazilian limped off at Selhurst Park and Nuno told reporters that he will need to be assessed.
