Goals from Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White were not enough to see Nottingham Forest beat Leicester City in the Premier League.

More points dropped for Nuno Espirito Santo in the Premier League, this time against the already relegated Leicester.

An early Conor Coady strike put the Tricky Trees behind, but Forest responded immediately in the form of Morgan Gibbs-White. Then they went ahead, as Gibbs-White turned provider for Chris Wood. 2-1 and steaming towards a Champions League spot.

Or so it seemed. In the 91st minute, Facundo Buonanotte equalised, much to Forest’s dismay. One player, in particular, should be extremely disheartened. He didn’t deserve to see his side drop points.

Ibrahim Sangare was sensational for Nottingham Forest vs Leicester

Ibrahim Sangare is never usually the standout name on the Nottingham Forest team sheet, but he was immense against Leicester—that is until he left the pitch in the 83rd minute.

The Ivorian dominated the midfield and was one of the constant outlets driving Nuno’s side forward throughout at The City Ground.

Fans noted Sangare’s performance last week, and his fantastic display against the Foxes was once again epitomised by his stats on the day.

It’s such a shame Sangare has been injured for the past two years. Displays like this show the real quality the £30m midfielder possesses.

Sangare deserved an assist for Nicolas Dominguez

Sangare’s statistics could’ve arguably been even better. He deserved an assist in the first half, with Nicolas Dominguez failing to latch on to what was a simply sublime pass.

Chris Sutton of Sky Sports agreed, he wrote: “What a ball in from Sangare. I just wonder whether Dominguez is on his heels.

“He doesn’t anticipate where the ball is going. He’s extremely late, he needed some striker’s anticipation there.”

He is a man who didn’t deserve to see his side drop more points in the Premier League. Sangare – you can hold your head up high.
