Nottingham Forest fans were shocked to hear that Nuno Espírito Santo was linked with a move away from the club, with the Portuguese coach now addressing the AS Roma rumours.
Before being linked with a move to Italy, Espírito Santo was linked with a move to Al Hilal, with his previous history in Saudi Arabia adding a level of credence to the rumour.
There were concerns when Marco Silva rejected the Saudi move that the Forest boss could be next in line, but nothing came in terms of further interest.
Then came the news that Roma wanted Espírito Santo, speculation that the 51-year-old has addressed in his most recent press conference.

Nuno Espírito Santo addresses AS Roma rumours
Discussions arose around Roma after rumours of behind-the-scenes disagreements between Espírito Santo and Evangelos Marinakis.
However, Nottingham Forest News revealed that Forest will offer Espírito Santo a new deal, hopefully ending the speculation before it takes over the summer discourse.
Nuno hadn’t had the chance to address the rumours himself, though, something that he has now done rather bluntly in his pre-Chelsea press conference.
He said: “Do you really think I’m going to waste time on that? There’s so much to get ready, my main focus is preparing the team and trying to get the best details and solutions for the players, nothing else.”
Sure, Espírito Santo didn’t directly commit his future to the club, but the Forest manager’s clear focus is on the task at hand on Sunday, which will comfort Reds fans.
How Nuno Espírito Santo is handling the hectic final week
With Taiwo Awoniyi’s injury and the Champions League decider, the last thing Forest needed was this speculation about Espírito Santo.
Luckily, he is seemingly handling this week of distractions very well, as he discussed how exactly he is keeping the focus on Chelsea.
He continued: “It’s a normal week for everybody in terms of approach. We have to prepare for the game like we usually do; nothing changes.
“One of the parts that we love is that we’re enjoying preparing for a big match. Why not enjoy it? We have to enjoy it, everyone here.”
The City Ground will understandably be full of nerves ahead of kickoff on Sunday, but the fans can take comfort in knowing that the man in the dugout is as calm and as focused as ever.
