Nottingham Forest are in the market for attacking reinforcements.

Evangelos Marinakis is ready to spend big at Nottingham Forest this summer transfer window, with the hope of turning the club into regular challengers for Europe.

Nuno Espirito Santo wants to sign a striker to compete with Chris Wood ahead of next season’s European tour.

Liam Delap had been heavily linked to Forest, however, now it looks as though he’s close to joining Chelsea.

Evanilson is also thought to be on Espirito Santo’s radar, and one of their other reported striking targets is actually being likened to Wayne Rooney.

Nottingham Forest target Roony Bardghji dubbed ‘the new Rooney’

Nottingham Forest are exploring a deal to sign Roony Bardghji this summer transfer window, with Tottenham Hotspur also circling.

Bardghji is thought to be available for around £10m as he enters the final six months of his contract in the Danish capital.

The 19-year-old has been sidelined with a serious knee injury for much of the last 12 months, so his stock isn’t as high as it could’ve been, giving Nottingham Forest a great chance to land one of Europe’s most promising talents.

The Athletic have dubbed Bardghji ‘the new Rooney’, having already netted 15 senior goals before his 19th birthday.

Bardghji wants to become the best player in the world

Bardghji has made it no secret that he wants to become the best player in the world, amplifying his self-belief.

“Well, I wish to become the best player in the world. Of course, playing in the biggest leagues, playing for one of the biggest teams… but being the best player in the world. That’s my biggest goal.

“That’s what I’m working towards every day, reaching my goal in five years… If you’re dreaming, dream big.”

Clearly, it’d be a statement signing if Forest do manage to land Bardghji’s signature, as Newcastle United have also been linked recently, too.

He would certainly align with the club’s recruitment strategy, which has shifted to recruiting young talent for relatively low fees, as evinced by the Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga deals.
