Nottingham Forest will reshuffle the pack this summer, with a number of players likely to sign for the club.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking forward to a campaign of European football in 2025/26, with the UEFA Conference League on the agenda for the club.

Forest are set to sign Igor Jesus from Botafogo after the Club World Cup, with left-back Cuiabano and central defender Jair Cunha also set to check in.

In order for incomings to keep coming, however, some players will have to leave. Danilo is likely to join Lyon, and more could follow him out the door.

Napoli eye move for Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi

According to Napoli Network, Hudson-Odoi is being linked with a move to Napoli, where former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has just led them to a Serie A title.

It’s claimed that Forest might be willing to let the winger leave this summer, with just one year to run on his existing City Ground contract.

The numbers don’t look overly attractive, though. It’s believed that a sum of £20 million is being discussed, and surely that won’t be enough to tempt Forest into a sale.

Hudson-Odoi only cost Forest £3 million, but Chelsea inserted a 50% sell-on clause into the contract.

That would make it hard for Forest to justify accepting such a low offer even if the player does have just a year to run on his current deal.

Forest must keep Hudson-Odoi and offer him a new contract

These sorts of rumours might have little or zero substance, but they will ramble on, the longer it goes without a new contract being signed.

Hudson-Odoi has been in good form for Forest over the last two seasons, and not only has he proved his fitness, but he’s shown flashes of brilliance too.

Forest need to keep hold of their talismanic winger, but furthermore, they have to put something longer on the table for a player who is still only 24-years-old.

The lure of Napoli might prove strong but Hudson-Odoi looks settled at Forest and now it’s time to reward the player for his solid form.
