A lot of people made the promotion dream a reality for Nottingham Forest back in 2022.
It was a long time coming for the Reds, with Evangelos Marinakis taking over the ownership of the club in 2017 and vowing to return to the Premier League.
Many managers came and failed until the Reds stumbled on Steve Cooper when rooted to the foot of the Championship at the start of the 2021/22 campaign.
The rest is history, with Cooper leading Forest from the doldrums of despair to the ecstasy of the Premier League via the play-offs at Wembley.
Now, the man responsible for bringing the former head coach to Forest is back working in football once again.

Dane Murphy lands EFL job after Nottingham Forest tenure
Murphy was the Chief Executive during his time at Forest and despite only being 39-years-old, he’s very respected when it comes to football.
Now, it’s been confirmed on the club’s official website that Murphy has begun working with Charlton Athletic following their promotion back to the Championship.
Nathan Jones is the manager in place at The Valley and it would appear as though the pair will now come up with a plan to kick the club on further.
Forest have naturally moved on without Murphy, who departed ahead of the second season back in the Premier League for Forest.
Murphy has been busy in the absence of a day-to-day job in football and in January, he was part of a five-member consortium that purchased Dutch outfit SBV Vitesse.
Murphy deserves credit for Forest job
In terms of recruitment, Murphy didn’t always get things right, with Xande Silva and Richie Laryea proving to be a couple of very mediocre signings.
However, behind the scenes, he kept things ticking along brilliantly and ultimately proved the brains behind bringing Cooper to the club in the first place.
Forest became a more professional football club when he was overseeing things his own way and for that, he deserves immense credit.
It will be fascinating to see what he can do at Charlton. With their infrastructure and sound academy ranks, perhaps it won’t be too long before he’s repeating his Forest antics in South London.
