Nottingham Forest attacker Morgan Gibbs-White finally got a decent run out for England as the Three Lions lost to Senegal at the City Ground.

Forest fans have been critical of Thomas Tuchel. The Reds player has been called up for the last three squads, but his impact and time on the pitch have been restricted by the new England head coach.

Manchester City like Gibbs-White, and naturally, that has made Forest supporters anxious that he might have played his final game for the club.

Last night, the media delivered mixed verdicts on Gibbs-White after his 35-minute outing, with Tuchel getting booed off after the game, following a 3-1 defeat.

England fans react to performance of Morgan Gibbs-White

The 25-year-old has been a revelation since signing for Forest in the summer of 2022.

He helped Forest qualify for the UEFA Conference League during 2024/25, and now he will be hoping to play in Europe and help the Reds challenge for the silverware.

Fans have reacted to his performance, and it would appear that he’s got some new supporters after last night.

Another impressed supporter said: “Morgan Gibbs-White is sensational. He and Eze, I like Rogers too.”

Antonio Mango is a scout in under-23 football, and he said: “The only player who comes out looking positive there was Morgan Gibbs-White.”

Forest would love to keep Morgan Gibbs-White

It would be a travesty if Gibbs-White departed the City Ground, but if he does go, he will command a sizeable transfer fee.

The Reds have been in fine form over the past 12 months, and it’s fair to say that Gibbs-White has been instrumental to the team’s fortunes.

Forest have a campaign playing European football to look forward to, and with that in mind, a player like Gibbs-White would surely be happy to stay at the club.

With his contract due to expire in two years, it’s vital that Forest do get the player tied down to an extension should the club not cash in this summer.

With proper England minutes now under his belt, it will be interesting to see what happens from here and whether or not any other clubs come in for his signature.
