Nottingham Forest have been exploring a number of deals this summer transfer window.

Nuno Espirito Santo is eyeing a move for Lyon’s Georges Mikautadze, who is expected to leave in a £21m package.

Nottingham Forest are also interested in Yunus Musah, with the AC Milan midfielder valued at a similar price tag.

However, there is now a fresh development on another rumoured Nottingham Forest target, and we understand it’s actually a done deal.

Nottingham Forest have just completed Igor Jesus signing

Nottingham Forest News can exclusively reveal that a deal has been completed to sign Botafogo striker Igor Jesus, who passed his medical over the last 24 hours.

Journalist Graeme Bailey has informed the site that the club believe it’s a massive coup, with significant interest in the Brazilian.

“Forest are over the moon with this deal, they have worked really hard getting him…he was wanted by a host of clubs and to get him is a major coup,” Bailey explained.

There is still work to do on his Botafogo teammate Jair Cunha, though. Forest remain in talks to sign the young central defender.

Igor Jesus stats 2024/25

Jesus has emerged as one of the best young strikers in Brazil, having netted nine goals so far this season.

In Brazilian football, the league campaign doesn’t start until the end of March and runs through to the end of the year.

The 24-year-old’s impressive form was rewarded with a call-up to Brazil’s senior squad last year, and he has since collected four caps.

Jesus actually netted on his debut in a 2-1 World Cup qualifier win against Chile.
