Nottingham Forest are looking to make statement signings this summer transfer window.
That’s amplified by Nottingham Forest’s interest in AC Milan’s Yunus Musah, with Evangelos Marinakis ready to submit a £21m bid.
Forest are also eyeing Douglas Luiz from Juventus, although, that transfer rumour has gone quiet over the last couple of weeks.
Igor Jesus has already completed his Forest medical and Jair Cunha could be following him to the City Ground, too.
Now, there is a fresh link emerging out of Nottingham Forest and it’s certainly exciting supporters.

Nottingham Forest fans so excited by links to Georges Mikautadze
It emerged over the weekend that Nottingham Forest are making a move to sign Georges Mikautadze, who is expected to leave Lyon for around £21m.
Mikautadze was actually the co-winner of Euro 2024’s Golden Boot award and he continued that form into the new season, netting 17 goals whilst laying on 11 assists.
Forest fans have been reacting to the rumour on X, formerly known as Twitter, and they’re buzzing.
“Would be an absolutely amazing signing even if we don’t get him, hopefully we’re after someone from Lyon, would like to think we could get a deal,” @Tay03Jack posted.
@ScottF_NFFC said: “Huge fan of this. LW and Striker cover. Get this done!”
“Hope this is true. I’ve only seen bits of him but always looked decent when I’ve seen him,” @sammiej8787 commented.
“Now we’re talking,” @Reggie8jb added.
@pearsanio said: “BRING 100%.”
“What a signing that would be,” @joel_francis363 explained.
Mikautadze’s underlying data is seriously impressive
Mikautadze, who can play as a centre-forward, number 10, and off the wing, has seriously impressive underlying data.
According to FBref, the Georgia international ranks in the top one per cent for assists per 90 compared to his positional peers across Europe, evincing his elite playmaking abilities.
The Lyon frontman also sits in the top 10 per cent for progressive carries, showing what a great dribbler he is, too.
The data suggests he’s actually of a similar profile to Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush, which is certainly an encouraging comparison.
If Forest do manage to land his signature, it’d be a major coup.
